Fischertechnik meets Linux & MacOSX
This package provides access to several fischertechnik devices connected to the PC using an USB-cable or a serial cable.
fischertechnik’s Computing series was fundamentally improved by the new ROBO Interface in 2004. As successor of the Intelligent Interface it provides a serial interface and an USB-Interface as well.
We provide several packages: The standard way is to use the new C++-API (ftapi) based on libusb for triggering the ROBO Interface and the Intelligent Interface. Additionally we provide an USB kernel device driver (fischerusb) for linux kernel 2.6 (to integrate with ftapi).
ftapi is available for different platforms; at present Linux 2.6.x and MacOS X are supported.
